Tour Description
Embark on a full day panoramic shore excursion to explore the scenic and cultural highlights of Grande-Terre, Mayotte’s main island, via a 100-km coastal loop. Depart at 9:30 AM from Mamoudzou’s market area traveling northwest on RN1 to Tsingoni (15 km.) Visit the Tsingoni Mosque, a 16th-century gem showcasing Mayotte’s Swahili-Comorian heritage with its whitewashed minaret and serene courtyard. Stroll the village to see traditional homes and spot Mayotte White-eye birds among baobabs.
Continue south on RN1 and RN2 to Pointe Mahabou near Sada (25 km). This stunning viewpoint offers panoramic vistas of Mayotte’s turquoise lagoon, coral reefs, and distant Choizil islets.
